Lakes currently Closed/No Fishing

I'm compiling a list of lakes that are currently Closed or No Fishing.

Major L
MyKiss L
Little MyKiss L
South end of Annie Bay (dam)
Stringer L
Dickson L

Those are the ones off the top of my head.  Any others you can think of please add here.

No fishing - closed all year

• Chipmunk Lake - Preston Township
• Graphite Lake - Butt Township
• Little Mykiss Lake - Preston Township
• Major Lake - Murchison Township
• Mykiss Lake - Preston Township
• Nogies Creek - Galway and Harvey
Townships, from Bass Lake Dam to
Nogies Creek Dam
• Opeongo River - Preston Township, from
immediately downstream from the dam
at Annie Bay of Opeongo Lake to 300 m
downstream
• Presto Lake - Preston Township
• Shallnot Lake - Clancy Township
• Stringer Lake - Lawrence Township

Did you find that info on the Ontario Parks website?

EDIT: I should indentify which lake is closed and which lake is closed to fishing, but camping is still permitted.

Ya, it really should be done, there are lots of lakes in Algonquin and elsewhere that have slot limits, etc, which aren't posted anywhere other than the regs. It is your obligation to know them, a warden won’t give much leeway for ‘I didn’t know.’ Plus those regulations are in place for the health of the fishery.
