Can anyone advise how this section of the Pet usually is in late fall? Are there usually beaver dams that require lift-overs? How are water levels normally?
Thanks!

I don't think water levels are ever an issue in that stretch - you'll be just fine.

There's one decent sized beaver dam to lift over.

This stretch is pretty magical and fairly easy going. I have had some long days going east to west on this stretch in the spring though, with the current and head wind it can be a slog. With you going in the fall the colours will hopefully be amazing for you, depending on departure time.

That's great to hear We're looking at going the last week of Oct to first week of November so unfortunately we'll miss the colours (but also all the crowds!).

As a destination Little Misty Lake, meh. Or will you be going up to Queer.

my son and i did that exact trip late last October, water levels weren't an issue. great little paddle down to Little Misty, winding and peaceful, water levels. agree the one site on Little Misty is nothing special. up through Queer to Little Trout and over to Ralph Bice. The portage between Little Misty and Queer is easy. didn't see any moose on that trip unfortunately.

I think we're gonna do 2 nights on Daisy and then either 2 on Moccasin and 2 on Bandit or 4 on either Bandit or Moccasin. Very easy paddling days and allow us some time to day trip and explore a bit.

If I may be so bold, Bandit and Mocassin are decent lakes, but if you can somehow rearrange to get onto Misty instead I don't think you'd regret it.
Also, if you want a smaller lake, Wenona has only one site and it looked quite nice from the water. Big swimming rock.
