Hello All,
I'm hoping to take a group of 4-6 college aged men for a one night trip into Algonquin Park. The date would be June 23-24th, and we would be leaving from Orillia. Ideally we'd be looking for good pike fishing (and bass for the Saturday), and/or a site with good swimming. We would also need to be able to rent a couple of canoes from the launch site. I was considering the Shall Lake access point, but was not sure what campsite to aim for, or if there are other areas I should consider.
Any advice is appreciated.

We sprayed our clothes with permethrin before our May long weekend trip and noticed a huge difference compared to our friends who did not have the spray.
The spray I have lasts up to 6 washes so it will serve me well for an upcoming solo in a few weeks.
I've never heard of permethrin before. Where did you buy it?

Any updates on the bugs? I've never been interior camping this time of year and am considering a day trip this weekend. Is it worth it, or will the bugs be bad enough to drive one insane?

Do you have an app with Jeff's Maps on your phone? Can you actually see your location directly on the map when you open it up?

Another great video, Uppa. Certainly didn't look like an ideal day but still makes me excited for my first trip of the year. Nice hat.
