Great to hear everything worked out for you! Always nice to pull up to a cabin and know you will be warm and dry for the next couple days. Really nice to hear that the cabin received some TLC, it is still on my list of cabins to visit.

Here are days 7 and 8, we had the end of trip jitters and with the weather, wind and bugs we didn't get as much footage as I would have liked so I compressed our last 2 days into 1 video. Headed out again tomorrow to another Ranger cabin so watch for that video!

I will make a guess but im sure im wrong, I have maily just paddled small creeks and the larger rivers. But is it the Nipissing River below Grahams dam?

This is day 5, we spent our last day at the cabin enjoying the wood stove outdoor fire and exploring the lake. We also wanted to try and rest up and prepare both mentally and physically for the day to come.....BIRCHCLIFFE CREEK!!

Yes we stayed at the cabin for 3 nights. In my opinion the nicest paddle to cabin I have stayed at in the park. Very clean and almost no graffiti. Tough work no matter which way you go in, but well worth it!

Great report, we passed through Manitou on our way out from Birchcliffe on our May 24 trip. It was very overcast that day but both Steve and I said we would like to make a return trip to the lake to Explore more. Thanks for the report! We also stayed at the site at the falls between Manitou and North Tea and agree they are very nice and worth the extra bit of portaging!

Day 4, A day of rest, fishing and moose viewing.....oh and lots of food "weight" eating.

Personally I would go up the Nipissing, I have only ever been down stream on that section but if I had the choice I would go that direction. Up the Petawawa can be a pretty long day with tough portages. The Nip I feel like you would spend most of your day paddling with a big portage at the end. I have never done the portage from the Nip to Luckless though. Just my personal preference.

Here is the bad section heading against the current headed to Tillie Lake from May 2022. Skip to around the 6 miute mark for just the creek.
