CN did offer to give it to the park right after the rails were pulled. Park did not want to be responsible for any cleanup so they declined. It is possible to go from kiosk to Achray by bike but this would be a violation of the park rules (and trespassing on CN property) so definitely don’t try it.

Currently watching a just released video from Kevin callan on a trip through north tea. He talks about the water flea and the park recommendation to clean your boat when travelling from the lakes the flea is found in, as well as cleaning your fishing gear to reduce the risk of tranferring the flea out of the infected lakes. I feel like this flea is going to be across the park pretty quickly.

So I guess it’s less a reservation fee, and more a booking fee. I remember a thread on here some time ago about this and there were a few people that had not been charged the fee on a walk up booking.

A great opportunity but likely a little overpriced. I would imagine new owners would lose the ability to run water taxis which would hurt the revenue a bit.

Interestingly the address they are setting up at is the location of algonquin bound. I guess they have come to some kind of merger agreement.
