I ended up stealing ideas from everyone I think. 

I have already picked up the cutting boards from the dollar store. Really like that they stop the pots from getting scratched up too from your stove etc.

Think I will pick up the MEC cozy too and give it a try.

Ended up finding an MSR Quick 2 System for 30% off so I picked it up. The Quick Skillet nests with it but like you say Claire not inside on the bottom . Will likely just put it all in a mesh bag to keep it all tight and together.

The Snow Peak set will be my new solo kit or for when I'm meeting a buddy who is bringing his own stuff.

I've had this small Esbit alcohol set for a while and like it a lot. When backpacking we eat a lot of dehydrated right from envelope so this and a spork does us right. Otherwise I just picked up $0.97 plastic bowls that have no hard corners. Easy to clean. Occasionally a larger pot or frying pan for canoe camping
