Hey all, has anyone been into Clara lake via mccraney?
I'm looking for some info on the camp site and the 1100m portage into it.
Is there room for two 3 man tents on the site? Are we able to access the backpacking trail from anywhere on Clara lake?
Also if anyone has any info on the "condition" of the rain lake jump off sites it would be much appreciated 
. Are they actual sites like at magneatawan jump off?

Hi Ken,
It's been a couple years since I was in that area (on the WUT), but judging by Jeff's Map, the Portage and WUT should intersect, so you should have no problem accessing the WUT.
I can't comment on the campsite, I've only been backpacking in the area.
If memory serves me correct I believe I was hiking North on the WUT just past that intersection where I saw my first (and so far only) Algonquin Park Black Bear.

When I was at rain lake in the spring, the jump off sites looked pretty legit. I didn't check them out closely, but the folks staying there were pretty set up.
