A friend and I went to Drummer Lake (to the west of Canoe Lake) and set up base camp while exploring the area. Those portages are the hardest ones I've had to follow in Algonquin so far. Many millions of thanks to Jeff M for making his wonderful map and letting me put it on my Garmin watch. I'd still be stumbling around without it.
