No included statement on the link this year about “backcountry may reopen earlier if conditions permit”. Does this mean the park is establishing a fixed b/c reopen date to give the park a full month of “rest” regardless of actual weather conditions?
I doubt they’d make that kind of change. That being said, there’s nothing in the long term forecast to give much hope for an April opening at the moment.
