sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide might be the clue,, lakes nearby maggie are under the influence of acid rain ,, the algonquin park fishing guide booklet (  born`s bible) includes a small map ,, out lining the area effected ,,
ok some one can search those lakes my book is buried under camping gear

or this lake it be on the hiking trail?

Swede, those facts are indeed fascinating, but I'm not getting anywhere near that technical with my clue.

This lake is not on a hiking trail, TT is closer than Maggie.

This reminds me of a site on Misty Lake, looking west.

Well Aaron, that is because it is a site on Misty Lake, looking West.
