Fascinating! They mention that it was found "sixteen kilometres south east of Kiosk". However, as the crow flies from Kiosk I calculate that it would only be between 5.5 and 7.8 km to land in the range between Whitebirch and Mink.

Thanks for the info Bampot! Very interesting YouTube video. Amazing that after 61 years parts of the plane can still be seen on the forest floor.
