Algonquin Adventures / Hwy 60 hill profile

Hi all.
I haven’t been on here in some time, as our travels have taken us far from Algonquin.
But I’ve long wanted to ride my road bike from the West gate to the East for my birthday.
I think we’re going to aim for this coming Friday. The weather should be decent, and the crowds have hopefully thinned out.
I’ve been looking for a hill profile of Hwy 60 just to help me visualize the ride. We live in the Collingwood area, so I don’t mind hills, but it’s been a few years since we’ve been through the park, and I just want to plan out my ride.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Youtube video 60 Minutes of Driving on Highway 60 Algonquin Park available. It might provide a sense of the ride and condition of the shoulder of the road, etc.

Thanks! It’s been a few years, but that’s how I remember Hwy 60. We come in from the opposite direction, but it was still a good visual. The road is rolling more than hilly, and I was glad to see the shoulder was wide - I was pretty sure it was, but that helps put a road biker’s mind at ease. I’m really looking forward to this ride.

If you google map it and switch it to cycling it details a profile. I just did West to East gates. We did this a few years ago from Oxtongue lake. We did it over a few days and took our time. Oxtongue to Kearney lake . Camped and then biked to Whitney the next day for lunch then back to camp and back to Oxtongue the next day. Was an ultralight trip gear and food wise but we planned accordingly for food stops utilizing park restaurants and the Mad Musher along the way LOL ! Was a great trip. You really gain a new appreciation for that road when you travel it by bike. Have a safe trip! We had crazy rain the first day. We held up in the pavillion for Bartlet Lodge at Cache Lake for well over an hour LOL! Soaked to the bone by the time we arrived to camp.
