Re: WIA #621

Burnt Island Lake is getting farther away compared to La Muir.
This lake is far smaller than Burnt Island and La Muir.

Re: WIA #621

Maybe Merchant?  I don't remember seeing a site like this on it, but we just breezed through and the terrain looks similar...

Re: WIA #621

This lake is not Merchant nor Shippagew.  Shippagew has the same number of campsites marked on the map as this lake though (2).

Re: WIA #621

Gotta admit - looking forward to learning the answer on this one. That site looks so incredibly familiar, but I just can't seem to place it.

Are we looking at a Plumb Lake campsite?

Re: WIA #621

Could this be a site on Robinson Lake?

Re: WIA #621

You are correct, Peek!  This is the southern campsite on Plumb Lake.

Re: WIA #621

Robinson isn't 'off the beaten path' like one hint indicated.  But Gouinlock Lake is off the beaten path, has two campsites and the southern site appears to be on a point of land that would show morning sun from the east like your photo does.  So is it Gouinlock?

Interesting - I've never been there (It's on the list) but that site looks so damn familiar I could have sworn I have.

Re: WIA #621

I hate taking a second guess but based on the hints needed, I will.  Site #2 (east end) on Perley is one of the few that fit.  I've been by it 3 times but can't visualize it for the life of me.

Whoops, never mind.

A few of the have campsites that I'm familiar with that, when mentioned, I thought to myself "Yeah, I definitely see the resemblance!".  Plumb doesn't have a monopoly on gentle sloping site on a point with a few rocks scattered about, it seems...
