The key is the wind. If the wind is splashing on any shoreline, fish that shoreline as all kinds of fish bait are washing to the shoreline. When the wind dies at night and there is a bay on the lake you are camped on, fish the bay that the wind was blowing waves into for again all kinds of fish bait have been driven there by the wind all day.

Great tip Bo! I find the brook trout pretty easy to catch but lake trout very difficult. I hope to do better this spring, going through some pretty good lake trout territory!
