I would have to say my favourite piece of camping gear over the years has been my sleeping bag.  I bought it about 10 or 11 years ago and it is still perfect!  Not only is it rated for -15 but it packs up real small for such a warm sack because of the unreal compression sack bag it came with.  When the bag is no longer usable, whenever that may be, I will for sure use the compression sack for the next bag.
