    Great Blue Herons

    Was able to get this shot yesterday at the north end of the Mizzy Lake Trail ...

    We never have any luck getting photos of herons.  They're either too far away or take off at the wrong time.

    The heron was in the shallows just beyond the bushes that edge the old railway bed part of the trail. It was like having a long bushy "blind" .. hiding behind it and lining up a gap in the bushes with the heron.
