Clipper Freedom / other fast solos

Does anyone have any experience paddling this canoe?

http://www.clippercanoes.com/freedom/

How about any other "performance touring" solo canoes?  I'm a pretty experienced paddler and am looking for something quick that I can mess around with using a sit and switch paddling style.  Ideally I'd like to use it for some fast-n-light tripping, getting into some places quickly for early morning photography, as well a (unfortunately) part of a summer workout.

Any other suggestions?

Re: Clipper Freedom / other fast solos

I have a buddy with a savage river blackwater.  Very  fast but also Very expensive  and hard to find used.  That said it's a pretty wicked boat if you're able to afford one. Clipper does make a great boat as well.  I found this Wenona Argosy on kijiji recently in Hamilton.  If you're inclined it's a much cheaper alternative.  My tandem is a Wenonah and they are great. Depending on your location this may be worth a look. If feasible I would be willing to help with pick up and deliver to Muskoka and are algonquin park area. Will be there in may, July and Sept.

Oh man, the Blackwater looks so good.  But damn is it expensive too.  Assuming those prices are USD, that works out to nearly $5k CDN.

Hemlock Peregrine. Colden Nomad, Swift Keewaydin 15, Northwind Solo by Northstar . You are seeking a l/w ratio of 7 or better.. If you are small Placid Rapidfire or Shadow can be reinforced to use with a standard touring seat. 7.5 and 8.5 respectively. Savage River too of course has fast solos.

Argosy is not fast. Its sub 14 feet. LWL not LOA counts. I have had one for ten years. Paid $600 USD for it. Kiji is way high I think.
