    Low Water Crow river between Big Crow and Lake Lavieille

    Hi,
    Well my canoe partner bailed on me, and I've decided to switch my fall trip around.  I was wondering if anybody has paddled downstream from Big Crow to Lake Lavieille recently?  The park has an advisory of low water levels so I guess I'm wondering if it's passable downstream still?

    I did it over Labour Day and it was fine then. Only one section where we were hopping in and out of the boat to get over some shallow spots. Don’t know if that’s still the case.

    This response is probably too late for your planning, but yes, the levels are good enough down to Lavieille and beyond. Levels were low on my way down Sept. 21-24, but 4 days straight of rain after that brought levels up nicely for the return upriver a few days later. I was solo-ing but I met other tandems who were managing with occasional wading and bump-n' grind.
