    Old portage from Big Crow to Hogan

    Hello,
    A friend and I are planning a spring fishing trip and were wondering if anyone had found or taken the original portage marked on Jeff's Map from Big Crow to Hogan.

    Never looked for it but I would expect it would be quite like a bushwhack through native forest - extremely difficult to find and follow the remnants of the 'trail'.  You could do it with maps and a compass with a light pack and water...but to do it as a portage would likely prove futile or at least a massive undertaking.

    Ok I wasn't sure if it was still used occasionally or not, only ever been as far as Big Crow.  We paddled up from Proulx to see the fire tower and the virgin pine stand, but never made it to that end of the lake.
