It does look like a very well-worn path and potentially even cart-path.  Near an access point, is my prediction.  The bay looks a little small for Proulx...but my memory is about as sharp as a brick.

Not Proulx to Opeongo, too far east.

This portage is adjacent to a very busy area, but I'm not sure this one gets quite as much traffic.

Did a day trip loop from Tom Thomson - Sunbeam - Vanashing Pond - Blue Jay - Little Doe.
