Your recent comment has led me to realize that a lot of backcountry gear is the same for both paddlers and hikers .. particularly food and cooking gear. So I've realized that the Equipment, Skills and Ethics forum should be actually be a single feestanding/separate category .. rather than a repeated forum in both the Paddling and Hiking categories. As a result, I've consolidated some items, further reducing the listings' complexity.
