Kiosk canoe delivery

Which outfitters deliver to Kiosk (and don’t charge an arm and a leg for it)

I've used Algonquin North Outfitters and they seem good. They are at the corner of highway 17 and the turn off to Kiosk.

Definitely Algonquin North hands down. Free delivery to Kiosk, super duper knowledgeable and friendly.

Re: Kiosk canoe delivery

Thanks guys. Here’s another kiosk question.with the late ice out, I plan on sticking to shore for this trip. The only place where that’s going to really lengthen things is on Kioshkokwi as I’m heading towards Manitou. I’ve been looking at the map and trying to decide whether to go up and around Wolf Bay or backtrack to the rail bridge and use that to get to the south shore. Any opinions on which would be faster? It looks about the same to me on the map.

Re: Kiosk canoe delivery

Hi,
I use Wolfe bay when I cross from the south to north shore when I’m returning to Kiosk from Erables or Maple Lake. If you back track to the railway bridge you might have a west wind to deal with.  But crossing at Wolfe Bay allows you to paddle the western shore and in the Lee should a west wind be blowing.

I’ll be spending my last night of a seven day solo on Kiosk’s south shore after arriving from Maple.  I’ll definitely be crossing at Wolfe bay.
