The campsite at Snowshoe Raps is ok. But the campsite at Cedar Raps is better, much better.  It's a large open campsite beside the rapids. Its has a table for gear and cooking.  You can also easily catch.......those fish with a name that rhymes with cook out, or heckled out.

The only negative is that it is located on a relatively heavily used put-in/take-out - especially in spring.
