You walk out on a spongy mat of "earth" that seems to be floating in the little pond that looks to be 100% enclosed. Then you paddle along the edge of the right hand shore through a long and rocky channel that eventually leads out into the open lake. Seems I remembered that much more than the view from the other portage into the lake.
