Moose documentary

A pretty standard documentary produced by National Geographic, which aired recently on TVO, showing the yearly cycle of moose activity. Filmed mostly in Alaska, the film has a short segment about winter ticks on moose in Alberta. It might be of interest to forum members.
The film suggests that the engorged ticks formerly dropped off the moose in the early spring onto snow and ice, where most died. Global warming means they are more often falling onto bare ground, where they survive, creating a population explosion and causing more grief for the moose.
