Thank you for the info from my last post. I think I have narrowed the route down to three, however, I think route 2 and route 3 are the best options (route 1 is a little far to do in 2 nights). For route 3, if North Tea gets to choppy, I figure worst case we can end early for the day, or re-evaluate our route a couple days out once we know the weather.
The second day for route 2 seems a little short in my opinion. And would appreciate any insight on lengthening it. Although we do not want a full day back to the access point on the last day.
Anyways I would greatly appreciate any insight you all have as well as any campsite recommendations (maybe with good fishing), and promise to stop bugging you all shortly.

Two of the route options look pretty strenuous for 2 nights, the one camping on Manitou and the one through Three Mile. The former has a lot of portaging plus some windy lakes, and the latter just has a bit more of the windy lakes.
If you do choose one of those routes, I would recommend the campsites I stayed at, they were both really great campsites:
... the island one on Manitou would have some good fishing (we didn't fish, but based on the boat I mentioned in the trip report), but the one on Three Mile wouldn't be a great fishing site.
If you choose the 3rd, easier route, I wouldn't be much help since I've never been to those lakes.

Thanks for the insight trippythings. The wind was my biggest concern. We have done similar routes in terms of length before but not on lakes so large. I actually saw your post in my research and those campsites look amazing, especially the island one. May have to build a route around camping there as option 1 (camping on Manitou) is basically off the table at this point.

I am not privy on what routes 1, 2 and 3 are. However, if you want to go to North Tea for a few days, another trip could be to North Tea and then on to Sisco Lake for one night (with a day trip to Lorne) and then back to Lost Dog Lake for a night, and then back out. Or just go to Lost Dog with a side trip to Sisco and then out. Travelling time to Lost Dog from Access #1 would be in the range of 5-6 hours. Add another 1-2 hours to get to Sisco.
