Hmmm I think you two need to arm wrestle for this one. At first I wanted to give it to Peek because he is basically right. When I posted the pic I thought it was taken on Carcajou Creek approaching Lower Spectacle. But, now I recognize it is turned the other way. We are leaving Lower Spectacle approaching Carcajou Creek. dvmcelroy is exactly right.

You are up Diana.

Great loop! I'm with Eddy Turn, I think it might be better to do it the other way. I would also choose Erables - Maple - Maple Creek for the last bit.

Nothing but good experiences with the platypus. Has worked very well over the years. The two bag system makes cleaning / back flushing very simple. Nothing but trouble with the Katadyn. Stay away. No experience with MSR.

If you go upstream the first site in the south side of the Nip at High Falls is pretty good. The campsite at Osler Marsh was destroyed in last springs flood. It is a mess of jumbled driftwood. We saw the thunderbox about a Kilometre downstream. I don't think there is even space for two tents. I have passed through the site at the Nadine port twice. It is not great. I haven't looked around long enough to see if it had space for two large tents. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Turn off the non graphic format. I find I have to constantly switch to desktop format to get posts to show the images properly.

I don't really have experience with those canoes. Are you getting this list from AO's website? Or are you communicating with them directly? Brent is a small remote operation. You may find you get what you get up there. I highly recommend you speak to someone directly.

Hi folks,

My wife was nice enough to okay a 10-day trip while she slaves away with a 9-month old, so I want to make the best of it.

WOOHOOOO! Your wife is a treasure.

Has anyone been on Nadine?
What about Heart Attack Hill, are we gonna die?
Is Shangri La Island worth fighting to get to?
Has anyone seen the anchor on Burntroot recently?

Nadine is lovely, so is Osler. Very remote feel.

Nip to Nadine is going to kill you. So is Nadine to Osler and Osler to Little Osler and little Osler to Little Nadine, and Little Nadine to Skuce. You are going to die 5 TIMES! It's all hills (actually Nadine to Osler is flattish but also long). You gotta go some time.

I think the site to the east of Shangri-la is nicer than Shangri-la. But the whole lake is getting beat down. The 2nd site from the bottom is a bit of a surprise. Looks uninviting from shore but it is huge. Good moose viewing habitat. We had a moose walk through the site when we were there.

Anchor is back in Anchor Island and bolted down.

Not the Crow or White Partridge Creek. I know a couple of people who have run this rapid, but very few people would do that.
