Heading into Ragged for 3 nights next week! Was supposed to go to Killarney but they cancelled (I'll have to wait to camp in OSA lake I guess).

Excited to be back on the water!

I have a spare silnylon stuff sack that I keep my water bladders and hose for the gravity filter in. I use a Sawyer Squeeze; I also have a CNOC collapsible water bottle, which the Squeeze screws onto. So while travelling between sites, I keep the actual filter with the water bottle, so I can scoop up water whenever I need it and filter directly from the bottle to my mouth. The water bottle/filter combo works nicely when rinsing dishes and my toothbrush too!

I have a wide mouth Nalgene for camp use.

That's a great point SS about Cedar vs Temagami. I haven't been to Temagami yet, and wanted to spend more than a few days there when I do go. Thanks for the advice!

Why was that loop to Loft closed? Was it due to the 2 girls who got lost up there a few years back? Seems odd they'd shut it down over just one incident that luckily turned out OK?

Looking to do a quick 2 nighter end of month, for Truth and Reconciliation day weekend. Don't want to portage really, and was thinking of staying on either Kiosk or Cedar.

Which would y'all suggest? I was thinking of the Kish Kaduk (not sure if that's how you spell it) sites on Cedar, and not really sure what site to aim for on Kiosk. I have a hammock, though I don't think that matters much in Algonquin (hasn't yet, anyway).

I'd be driving up from Toronto, so going to Cedar would be a longer drive in, but not a huge deal really.

Thanks gang, I figured as much, but doesn't hurt to ask! I'm gonna settle in with my morning brew and watch your video Knox! Cheers!
