And to add a guess, I'll throw Mangotasi into the mix.

Fantastic!!! All the work is worthwhile when a kid says "I love camping"
I like Parkside bay; did a trip there one year after knee surgery in mid-September. I did not like the way some sites were left; dirty socks and underwear on the ground and green wood cut and left lying.
I guess being that close to 60 you get that. We were on one of those point sites but there was only one other party on the lake so it wasn't too invasive. Back in the olden days when every site wasn't eternally booked. LOL

AlgonquinLakes--Wait, you’re not supposed to eat in your tent? But it’s so convenient, what with my stove set up in the corner and everything.

LOL!!!!

Saw it last year at Kiosk also. I don't understand how someone could undertake such a trip and not at least watch a couple of youtube videos or something just to get a feel for what they're likely to encounter

I can't count how many times I see people in YouTube videos eating in their tent, feeding wildlife, talking about "I think we'll camp on this lake instead tonight" (not following their permits), and countless other things that would actually be worse for new campers to watch.

I guess I'm a little more discerning in the videos I watch. . . . . .  LOL
But yeah I agree there are a lot of bad videos out there. I was just wondering why anyone would head out into the wilderness with absolutely zero experience. Or knowledge

I can’t remember way back to March, but my guess is that our one dose numbers then were looking a lot like our two dose numbers now. I’m with the group, I’ve got a good feeling you’ll get that fall trip in. (Also, got my second shot this morning, I was surprised by how much it felt like a weight I didn’t even know I was carrying had been lifted).

I felt the same relief! Here's hoping for a regular September!

Thanks! It really was fun to not have to think about gear weight at all.

As for the camper, youu wouldn’t be able to get it to the site I was on, that’s separated from the lot by a footpath. As for getting it to the parking lot site, the road is pretty narrow and does have some twists on top of everything else. If I was going to take a small camper to the area I’d probably go up to Buck lake and set up there.

Excellent!!! I think that might just be added to the agenda for this season.
Thanks
