Is this on the Crow?  By Lavieille?  I think that white sign is similar to one I saw a few years ago from the MECP talking about "predatory black bears" in the area.

Dave got it in one!  It is indeed Hambone from the Magnetewan portage in early spring.  By the next day all that ice was gone and it looked a lot more recognizable.

Great trip!  I took my dog there for her first trip.  Great site, love how open it is inside the trees while still having the nice point and beach.  Makes me yearn to go back with my youngling when he can hold a paddle.
