Hello All,

Here looking for a little trip planning/ fishing advice once again. Quick recap on last year's end of may Trout trip:

Caught a 20 inch Laker on my second cast, and was loving life!  Unfortunately it was the only one  From BO,"I think you meant to say you are starting your trip from Magetawan Lake (Access 3) instead of Rain Lake (Access 4), Me, "Nope meant 3" BO, Yeah makes sense if you like to portagePlanned 4K of portaging on Day 1 did a 1.2K shortly followed by a 1.4K- Back was destroyed, and didn't continue on. Turns out BO does know! And I do not enjoy portaging, this year's trip is going to be far less ambitious.

I was wondering if anyone has any insight on pike fishing on:
Somke
Ragged
Rock
Pen
Booth

Planning a 3 night trip end of may, and these lakes made the short list.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Thanks again Papaddler, Well certainly give it some consideration,
I'll make a point to pinch my barbs, and I always catch and release, so we are good there.

Thanks NVM for the advice- I'd be more than happy to fish a sticky trout like start of June, I image they would still be relatively shallow?

I've fished Sec and Booth before, only caught small pike at Sec.

Thanks again!

Hello all!

I've been charge with planing a 3 day fishing  (Trout/Pike)/exploring loop around June 1st, and was hoping for some suggestions/tips.

I'm mostly concerned with fishing my other friends are mainly concerned with being secluded. Ideally we are looking for a secluded 3 day loop( medium pace), that's fairly easy to navigate, and has pretty decent fishing-So pretty much the perfect trip.

We're considering access points 3 and 4 with Canoe lake, Smoke lake and Cannisbay as starting points/stops.

This will be my 3rd time visiting the park, first time planning. I'm sick of mid-august Bass trips in lakes/routes that only Trout......

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
