Walking south from the 2nd or third loop, you hit the Maggie circle. This photo was taken from the campsite nearest that junction (just a little west of the junction).





I always thought it would be cool to be able to rent a canoe at Maggie. Pay a fee at the west gate, hike in, there's a unique code to unlock it, and away you go. I know I know, the devil is in the details, (theft, vandalism, liability, etc) but I always thought it would be a lovely lake to paddle. I might go in from the west side unoficial access one day.

cool. As soon as you said you weren't on a canoe I figured it out. I've filtered water from that rock before on a trip with my girlfriend (now wife).
