Woohoo this is Canoe. You would take out here if you wanted to visit the spot where Tom Thomson IS buried.

The bay in front of me is the now submerged Chip Yard. A spot where the Gilmour Lumber company dumped all their logging waste. The trees beyond cover the old town site of Mowat.

This should be a busy spot this summer with the 100th anniversary of TT's death.

Nice!  Agree with you that those familiar with TT and park history could likely make this a busy spot this summer.

I guess I'm up for posting the next pic then...
