Where in Algonquin # Michael Frolik

I'll add a hint since this could be any site in the park.  I'm glad it was foggy while using this one as it's visible 360 degrees from the water.

Fork island site?

We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it.

Re: Where in Algonquin # Michael Frolik

Ok how about a clue or 2.

There are 2 bodies of water in AP that bear this name.  The northern AP lake seen here and the near by non lake.

Checking my AP lake name history book seems to be after a political figure.

Re: Where in Algonquin # Michael Frolik

Like a specific political figure? Or the mapmaker's blanket opinion of his contemporary political figures generally? I'll guess Cauchon Lake.

Re: Where in Algonquin # Michael Frolik

No to Cauchon.

Named after a specific person who held a specific political office. I had no idea who the dude was till I looked it up so unless you are an expert in pre-1900 Canadian political appointments likely not my most helpful clue. Other than letting you know it is a surname lake. ( could be a first name too just not in this case)

One more clue. One of its 5 campsites is on an island  ( which is crappy by the way don't stay there)
