Re: Where in Algonquin #56

Okay Tripper, once again you've got me convinced I've stood on this very spot and looked at this exact view! The problem is with all the out-of-the-way routes and destinations you visit, I'm probably wrong. So with that in mind, here's a guess purely to get the ball rolling: southern end of Erables?

Acme Lake / Pond looking back towards Hambone?

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

Trillium I can see how that would look like Erables but it's not.  And not Acme either Jonp.

One Mile Lake?

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

That almost looks like Ralph Bice from the portage to Hambone.

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

Not One Mile or Ralph Bice.

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

Ok, here's a hint.  There are five ways out of this lake but three are dead ends.

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

Based on your hint I know my answer is wrong but it looks just like the Opeongo leading into Crotch Lake.

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

AlgonquinGuy your answer is right in that you are looking at Crotch in the distance but not from the location you suggested.

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

Is this the pond off the west side of Crotch?

Re: Where in Algonquin #56

You got it Rob, taken from the portage into Oram Lake.

Ha! I don't have a  clue how to post a picture and I really didn't expect to be right (and then have to post!)

Go for it Rob.
