Re: WIA #242

Q1. Sec Lake? A1. No. Not even close.
Q2. Is it one portage into the park from the access point?
A2. Jeff's Map shows more than one portage between the access and the site.
Q3. Are there more than 5 campsites on this lake? A3. No
Q4. Is it Little Otterslide Lake?
A4. Not on the otterslides. Safe to say it's an easy day from an access.

Q5. Did you start at access point 3? A5. No
Q6. maybe you went to little island lake? A6. No. Too close to the highway for me.
Q7. Is it above 400m? A7. Yes
Q8. Is it Sunbeam Lake? A8. No. Hint, the little island is visible on Jeff's Map

A9. No. But the lake shape and island placement is a close match.

Re: WIA #242

I've looked all over the map and can't seem to figure it out... could it be Bandit or Wenona? Is it off Hwy 60?

I'm betting this is it. When I guessed Bandit/Wenona, Big Bob was the only other lake I found that looked like it might be a match, but for some reason I didn't put it in my post because it seemed like an obscure guess lol

You got it. Big Bob. We actually walked in from the car using logging roads and a 650 m bushwhack. She was less than 20 lbs at the time and too small for the life jackets at MEC. We recently picked up a 20 to 40 lbs life jacket on sale at MEC for next year.

You’re up!

Ha. About as far away from my first guess as possible. Great spot.
