Booths Rock trail

Was thinking of hiking my first Algonquin trail because it's looking to windy to paddle.booths rock trail sounds nice. Where do I grab a permit to hike it this weekend and how long would this hike take.any info or other great scenic hike info appreciated.

Re: Booths Rock trail

If you're already camping, then you already have a permit for the park. If you're going up for the day you just need a day pass which you can pick up at the East or West gate on your way in. You don't need anything specific for the different trails.

According to the Friends of Algonquin Park booklet, "The trail is 5.1 km long and fairly rigorous, but may be easily covered in a couple of hours by an active person."  You can usually get the booklet at the Park office or at the trail head for $0.50.
