The clip on the internet you noted was put out by a group called Virtual Algonquin with its last revision back in 2004.  Maybe there were cottages back then, but I have not seen any.  Maybe I am blind and they are still there, Maybe others who have been across that portage on Manitou Lake, can say if these cottages are there.
