No idea specifically where, but I expect the perspective is facing west or southwest based upon lighting (summer, afternoon showers in the area). 

Also, I predict it is either on a dead-end lake or a low maintenance one due to the amount of intact ground foliage growing in the immediate vicinity of the fire pit.  A site like that on an easily accessed lake would be nearly all dirt and no low foliage.

Good deductions.  It is a dead end lake and a low maintenance one but you can get to it from an easily accessed lake.  And definitely did have afternoon showers.
