Powdered peanut butter

I just discovered this product and thought I'd pass along for those looking to find ways to keep cutting pack weight. Maybe some of you have already heard of this product. "Tru-Nut" peanut butter is 75%less fat. Just add water and stir. Comes plain, chocolate, cinnamon and maple flavoured. It's not quite as good as regular PB but a very good version. Got mine at Homesense but it can be got on Amazon.

Thanks for posting!

But to be honest my first reaction is "Uggh! Peanut butter without fat? What's the point?"

Re: Powdered peanut butter

I bought PB & Me - it's good and helps when trying to lose weight (both in a pack and on me 😀)

Re: Powdered peanut butter

Below is a tried, tested, and true recipe using Powdered PB that i found online.  Ive use this several times and have not been disappointed. Give it a try!

Peanut Butter Noodles:

1/3 cup PB Powder or 1/4 PB
2 bundle Dried Chinese Egg Noodle (aka Wonton Noodles)**
1 small packet Soy Sauce
1 small packet Hot Sauce
1/4 cup Dehydrated Peas
2 links Chinese Sausage***
2 cups Water (for boiling) Coconut Sticky Rice with Dried Mango
1 cup Sweet Glutinous Rice, long grained
1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Coconut Flakes, Coconut Chips, or Desiccated Coconut
2 Tbsp Coconut Milk Powder
1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
5 strips Dried Mango Slices
2 cups Water

*Split lentils cook significantly faster. If using whole red lentils, increase boil time to 2 full min and cozy cooking time to 20 min.
**Angel hair pasta or ramen can be substituted.
***Can also be substituted with salami or something similar.

Re: Powdered peanut butter

This sounds delicious. I'll have to try it this spring!

Do you just mix it all together in a pot, boil and then cozy for 20 mins?

Has anyone had any luck dehydrating their own PB?
