actually, I just realized something. 

This waterbody isnt named - so its unfair to allow you to name waterbodies when this in fact can never be guessed. I suppose it was poor photo selection on my part.

So, some solid hints then:
It's along a portage - there is a small side trail to this lookout, maybe 50m from the actual trail.
It's also at the highest point of said portage.

It looks like it could be the portage from O'Neil to Robitaille?

yup, you got er!

This isn't the pond you have to walk around, this pond can be seen from the crest of the insane hill, following the 'obstruction' pond.

Great spot, and a 8-10 ft beaver dam is holding this all back - biggest I've ever seen in Algonquin.
