Bob's got it. I love this little lake with its little island. A nice break between the steep uphill climb from Lawrence and the long downhill portage to Louisa.

Look at this difference in my photograph, mid page. I should have recognized that landing since I was there just a few weeks ago, but it shows how much the shoreline changes as logs shift and water levels change. I should have paid more attention to the vista.
