Re: WIA 244

Looks a little like the landing from Dickson onto Lavieille but I don't see any current from the stream so I'm thinking it is just visually similar.

Re: WIA 244

I wanna say BT but I don't think that's right.

Re: WIA 244

Wasn't a dock last time I was there but it could have used one. Gonna guess this is the Cranebill and of the portage to Moccasin.

Re: WIA 244

BrianB has figured it out. This is Dickson! About 80m away from PaPaddlers guess. You are up Brian.

Re: WIA 244

Language may have me foiled on this one. I thought your guess was Dickson.

This dock is on the Dickson end of that portage. The picture is looking south on Dickson. I believe PAPaddler thought we were at the Lavielle end of the portage, looking west towards Hardy Bay. You can't see Hardy Bay at all from the Dickson end of this portage. PA's comment, "I don't see any current from the stream" refers to the small rapid that is immediately beside the dock on the Hardy Bay side of that portage.

Sooo... Unless I misinterpreted Joe's response, I'm going to say Brian is up.

Re: WIA 244

Brian and Martin are correct.  Brian's correct in his guess, Martin is correct in his interpretation of my poorly-worded guess (I did mean the Hardy Bay side of this portage).  Take your time, Brian, I can wallow in my nearest miss failure in the interim.
