I did see the movie Backcountry.  Its my opinion that the movie demonstrated everything you shouldn't do when going in the backcountry. I think that it highlights the importance of planning, making good safe choices, and being prepared.  Sure the bear scene(s) was scary, but I would assume it was a predatory bear....which makes things different than usual bear behaviours one may encounter.  The bear was actually not in the movie all that long.  I did enjoy this movie because its going to keep my behaviour in check while I'm out there.
