Where in APP 7: Video edition

OK, we just got back from a beauty long weekend in the park.

Where in APP?

No idea at all but a great video clip!

He handled it better than I probably would have - that phrase 'screaming like a little girl' comes to mind...

Well, no wonder you didn't tell me where you were headed!  Tricky beggar.

Your son is so cute.  Must take after his mother, eh?

My first thought was of bypassing the small portage from Farm to Kitty, too.

Re: Where in APP 7: Video edition

Thanks for the comments this trip was a lot of fun! It's NOT Farm to Kitty and yes Barbara my son is VERY lucky he takes after Mom and not me. Shawn has the right river but I need more than that,

Clue! Later that night we had a lot of fun catching a gazillion Small Mouth Bass from this spot below our campsite.

That's Ragged Falls, no?

Re: Where in APP 7: Video edition

No the pic is not Ragged Falls and the video is a ways upstream of the pic.

Re: Where in APP 7: Video edition

I didn't think that was enough water to be Ragged Falls.

The only other name I remember is Gravel Falls.

Re: Where in APP 7: Video edition

You must be between Upper Twin Falls and Lower Twin Falls.

Re: Where in APP 7: Video edition

According to modern maps no. But historically speaking yes! It's close enough that I'll give it to you Shawn. The video was taken after lining the first chute at Split Rock Rapids. There is some confusion about the name of these rapids. On Jeff's Maps the spot is called Split Rock Rapids and it is about 500 metres down stream of Lower Twin Falls. But in James Dicksons 1886 book "Camping in the Muskoka Region" he describes this spot in very clear detail and calls it Lower Twin Falls. Somewhere along the way the name has been changed to Split Rock Rapids or perhaps James Dickson (Or his editor) miss labled the spot in his book.

Re: Where in APP 7: Video edition

I like the idea of the video edition.  I'll load a picture or video later this morning after doing a little bit of work
