Impressive route, gentlemen!  That's a lot of distance both on the water and on land...and then doing portages three and four-thirds times doesn't help the old bones feel young!

40 years later .. wow ... I'll admit I didn't read all the report but didn't see any pics of fish ... those are prime BT and laker lakes .. any luck?

I've had a similar thing happen on the Madawaska ... we dropped a paddle at the start of the portage ... but it was not nearly as long as yours ...
