    GET-TO-GETHER ON STRATTON LAKE/BARON RIVER THIS SUMMER

    I was wondering if anyone on this site would like to have a get-to-gether sometime over the summer.  I was thinking of Stratton Lake (off of Grand Lake) with lots of campsites on it, good bass fishing and swimming, and not too far from canoeing down the Baron River.  Would be nice to put a face to a name that you converse with on this site

    I was thinking of the long weekend in August.  What do you think?????

    What date is the long weekend in August?  Is it August 7th "Civic Holiday"?  

    Not looking good with work travel until the 4th in Chicago, but that is not firm yet.

    Yes....August 7th is the Civic Holiday.

    That would be fantastic to finally meet a lot of you folks.  Sadly/not sadly I'm tripping on the South End of the park that week!  Great idea though

    Hi Bo ... if the timing is right I'd be up for it ... I have a trip to that put in on my to do list for a while ... McManus and whitson lakes too ...

    I have to admit ... I love rivers ...

    In a similar boat... I'm getting married on the august long, my bride would kill me.

    The rest of y'all should go for it though, those dates are awesome for base camping and bass fishing if you're booking far enough in advance to get them.
